Paul Castoral is a talented local artist, creator, and DJ here in Portland. He has hosted a weekly radio show called “Residual Effects” on Shady Pines Radio since 2020 and enjoys playing mixes combining acid, disco, pop, off-kilter house, and esoteric techno. The name Residual Effects was derived from his Shift and Soak camp that connects people with the items that they may have lost, forgotten or never knew they had in another dimension, life or multiverse. He’d like to think he has a the same effect on a dancing crowd. In his sets, Paul travels through time playing tracks new and old, known and unknown, reuniting you with a familiar feeling of a moment or a memory.
