About the Artist:
Through visions made manifest, Kayla Van Koll expresses the blending of two realms, the one we have almost (but not completely) forgotten and the one we exist in now.
If we consider that what we sense in five ways can actually be sensed in at least six, we are suddenly confronted with new questions, ideas, visions, sounds, etc, to explore.
This is ultimately the goal of the world, the identity, and the amalgam of all things that Kayla portrays in her artwork.
In the meantime, magic, esoterica, childlike wonder, deep and dark space-scapes, splashes of odd color, and inhuman beings grace blank pages.
Through this expression the bifurcation between this world and the one we knew before becomes less prominent.
